NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Food Operations Assistant BUSINESS TITLE: Shift Leader (Foster Bulldog/Shisa Pizza) FLSA: Non-exempt JOB SERIES: 1101 PAY LEVEL:NF-02 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a working leader, supervises and coordinates the sale of food items and the preparation and sale of short-order food items. Ensures customer satisfaction through quality food preparation control. Responsible for the efficient functioning of the Bulldogs and Shisa pizza concepts. Assumes the responsibility for the security of cash receipts, change fund and cash handling procedures. Ensures maximum efficiency within the activity through proper ordering, requisitioning, receiving and storage of food, beverages, and supplies. Accepts direct delivery items ensuring item count and prices are accurate and food is received in compliance with current sanitation regulations. Maintains sales records and accountable documents. Conducts monthly and yearly inventories, prepares reports, and verifies the accuracy. Responsible for the scheduling, initial training of all assigned employees. Prepares timesheets. Utilizes AXS-ONE to place food and supply orders. As a working leader, pizza preparation, cooking burgers and utilizing the fryer station may be required to support daily operations. During peak meal periods will be responsible to oversee and to be the expeditor to control the product given to our patrons. Scheduling and adjust contracting staff and employees to maximize the productivity and financial stability Inspects and ensures the integrity of the facility at the end of the shift. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies, equipment and property in accordance with directives and regulations. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 20 years of age AND have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school. (Valid documentation will be required upon hire) A minimum of one year leadership experience in food service or business operation including providing work direction to other employees. Be able to obtain a valid health/sanitation certification. Must have knowledge of basic math and must complete Cash Handling Training Course before handling fund and Refresher Course once per year. Working knowledge in Microsoft Programs such as Word, Excel, etc. Excellent customer service skills and good communication skills orally and in writing. Prior to employment, must successfully complete background checks. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include weekends, holidays and night time. Must be able to perform prolonged standing, walking, reaching, and lifting. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.
