EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

You will serve as a EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR in the EXECUTIVE OFFICE of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT.


  • You will directly supervise the staff that reports to the Commodore, including Special Assistants, Department Heads, and Echelon IV Commanding Officers.
  • You will develop performance standards and evaluates subordinates; and identify developmental and training needs of employees and provides for/arranges needed development and training.
  • You will establishes effective communications and a positive work environment; and select and apply pertinent management techniques to communicate organizational needs and goals.
  • You will leads the day-to-day management and oversight of personnel, resources, and implementation of NSWG-8's policies.
  • You will provide executive direction for technical and managerial problems, analyzes impact on mission performance, and directs implementation of appropriate decisions and courses of action.
  • You will direct the development of NSWG-8 Vision and Strategic Plans; determines and develops strategic vector and priorities.
  • You will review organizational alignment and management to ensure NSWG-8 commands and MPT/E organizational structures are consistent.
  • You will identify undersea and special reconnaissance capability gaps, determines feasibility of addressing them, and resourcing strategies
  • You will coordinate the planning, programming, and budgeting within NSWG-8 (e.g., POM, PPBS), and Resources and Requirements Review board and budget hearings.

Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing or leading the planning, coordination, and execution of broad, large-scale, and critical activities for garrison and task force operations; and integrating, coordinating, and directing of garrison work accomplished by special assistants, departments, and echelon IV subordinate commands on all matters not specifically reserved by laws and regulations.
