An applicant must meet the following requirements to apply for an apprenticeship with the MEJATC.
- Applicant must be 18 years old at time of interview.
- Applicant must show proof of one credit in algebra with passing grade or completion of the NJATC Tech Math Course, or successfully complete the Mathematics Refresher Course offered by Electric Prep.

- Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and be an insurable driver.
Requirements

Please note, there is a nonrefundable $55 fee required upon request of the online application. If you prefer a paper application the nonrefundable $55.00 must be mailed back to the JATC with all the required documentation.
Applications require:
- Copy of birth certificate
- Copy of social security card
- Copy of valid driver’s license
- Official copy of high school transcripts showing proof of 1 algebra credit
- Transcripts from college if applicable
- Work history
- GED completion if applicable
- Copy of DD214 if applicable
- Undisputable documentation of previous electrical experience if relevant. (examples include transmittal from the State, pay stubs from employer, records from a JATC)
