The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW); Local Union 313, in partnership with the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) currently offers the Inside Wireman Electrical Apprenticeship Program. The apprenticeship training program consists of on the job training and night school.  The work area for this program consists of the State of Delaware and Cecil County, MD. 

Applications are in person at our facility at New Castle, Delaware on the first Wednesday of every month by appointment only. All applicants must arrive on the day of application with $40 cash or money order (electronic payment not accepted) and a valid photo ID. To apply for possible selection into the apprenticeship program you will need to schedule an appointment. There is no need to apply on Helmets to HardHats

Requirements

Required Documentation:

  • Provide reliable proof of age. (Copy of your; Passport, Birth Certificate, Federal compliant ID).
  • Provide documentation of being a high school graduate, having a GED, or having a two-year associate degree or higher. (Copy of certificates).
  • Provide all high school and GED transcripts. These transcripts must be official and from the school. (delivered sealed envelope, faxed or E-mailed from the school).
  • Provide evidence of successful completion of one full year of high school level algebra with a passing grade or one post high school algebra course with a passing grade if not already provided on official transcripts submitted.
