Apprentices Needed Electricians Local 429 (Online applications - accepted year round - GI Bill approved!)

We train apprentices to become an Inside Journeyman Wireman who install the power, lighting, controls and other electrical equipment in commercial and industrial buildings.


Nashville Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee‘s (NEJATC) goal is to provide the highest quality training to those interested in a career in the various fields within the electrical industry. It's important to us that we set our students up for success. Many of them are able to earn $50,000/year or more during their apprenticeships. In addition to receiving paid on-the-job training, our apprentices are provided trade-related classroom training that produces competency and pride that leads to true craftsmanship. NEJATC Apprenticeship Qualifications

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age at selection

Must have a high school diploma or a GED

Must have completed one credit of algebra with a passing grade from any accredited school or the equivalent (i.e.: high school Tech Math 1 and 2) or one post high school algebra class with a passing grade

Must take the AIR aptitude test and receive a qualifying score

Must possess a valid driver’s license

An application for the apprenticeship program must be filled out at https://www.nejatc.org/apply. You will be required to pay a $30.00 Application fee to start the application.

Must submit to the NEJATC office official transcripts showing the above required information
