The Sheet Metal worker is a highly skilled crafts personwho plans, fabricates, installs, repairs and alters products made of metal sheets in Construction, Industrial, Architectural, Specialty, Residential and Transportation work. 


A Sheet metal worker sets up and operates a variety of machines including but not limited to: shears, press brakes, hand brakes, bending rolls and welding machines, along with an assortment of power tools such as; grinders, power drills and saws; and miscellaneous hand tools to cut, form and attach metal. 


These tools and equipment are used for jobs involving heating and air conditioning systems, pollution control systems, tanks, air craft and ship building, commercial kitchens, industrial mills, metal roofing, gutters, siding and ornamental work.



Requirements

1.You must be at least 18 years of age.


2.You must be physically able to perform the work of the Sheet Metal Trade.


3.You must provide copies of:


High School Diploma, GED or Washington State equivalent


Birth Certificate


Current valid driver’s License


proof of auto insurance


Social Security card


High School or any post-secondary transcripts like a DD214 (optional)
