Plasterer & Cement Mason Apprenticeship Opportunities in Northern California

Our apprenticeship is four years in duration. Apprentices will receive wage increases every six months provided they have met the minimum on-the-job training hours and have attended classes regularly. Prior experience credit is possible. The Committee and your employer will evaluate you and decide if you are entitled to any prior experience credit.


The Apprentice Plasterer

During the course of their apprenticeship, apprentice plasterers will receive classroom and hands-on instruction in most aspects of the plastering industry

Apprentices will work toward becoming a skilled journeyperson in the plastering trade. A journeyperson will be asked to perform varies phases of plastering in both heavy commercial and residential construction.

Upon completion of her/his apprenticeship, the skilled plasterer should be able to face any and all challenges of an ever-changing industry. As time goes on and her/his skills are recognized, the journeyperson may become either a foreman or superintendent. 



Requirements

- You must be at least 18 years of age 


- You must be able to read and write in English.


- You must be physically able to perform the work of the trade. 


- Finally, you must exercise good self-discipline and be willing to follow through on each and every project you undertake.
