SMART (Sheet Metal Air Rail and Transportation) Local 23 Sheet Metal workers union represents workers throughout the entire state of Alaska. We have contractors in South East, South Central, And Fairbanks. Our JATC (Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee) trains in a variety of different skills sets like, welding, sheet metal fabrication & install , refrigeration and HVAC service.

Requirements
- In order to process your application we will need the completed application with all of the required documents requested on the Informational page AND your Accuplacer test scores. Then turn them in to the JATC office and you will be contacted regarding your results.
- High School Diploma, Equivalency, or GED.
- At least 18 years old.
- Veterans should submit DD-214
- Valid state issued ID
