Las Vegas Pipe Trades Apprenticeship Opportunities

Choose your high-paying career path between the Building Trades apprenticeship program, which focuses on plumbing and pipefitting, and the HVACR Service apprenticeship program. As an apprentice, you’ll be placed with one of our highly regarded contractors to learn on-the-job for 40 hours per week (earning a minimum of 8,500 hours of on-the-job training upon graduation), plus attend evening and weekend classes for a minimum of 1,230 hours of classroom training.

In addition to our five-year apprenticeship programs, UA Local 525 offers continuing education opportunities that include journeyperson upgrade training and certification, as well as an associate’s degree program in partnership with a local community college. 



Requirements

In addition to being a motivated self-starter, program applicants must meet the following requirements:



  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Submit copy of high school diploma or GED, with accompanying transcripts

  • Submit copy of birth certificate or passport

  • Submit copy of Social Security card

  • Have valid driver’s license

  • Submit copy of military DD-214 (if applicable)

  • Possess strong work ethic

  • Have strong math skills

  • Ability to perform physical tasks

  • Ability to work in heat

  • Obtain OSHA-10 card (within 15 days of acceptance)
