HR Talent Acquisition Partner, Bureau of Human Resources and Labor Relations


The Bureau of Human Resources and Labor Relations is seeking to hire a Talent Acquisition Specialist tojoin its team to support and enhance the agency's recruitment efforts.DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:The selected candidate will:- Establish recruiting strategies requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting withmanagers to discuss needs and providing comprehensive recruitment activities for assigned programswithin the DOHMH.- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community-based organizations, academicinstitutions, employment agencies, media, and internet sites; providing organization information,opportunities, and benefits.- Work collaboratively with programs by planning, communicating and leading successful outcomes ofvirtual hiring fairs using virtual platforms such as Zoom, Teams, etc., including, when necessary,preparing and managing breakout rooms.- Determine the required and desired professional skillset and credentials of applicants by reviewing theminimum qualification requirements of existing vacancies.- Attract applicants by collaborating with the citywide advertisement agency to place job advertisementson professional job boards ; collaborate with other members of the recruitment team, use newsgroupsand other external sourcing strategies including DCAS' Office of Citywide Recruitment, the Mayors Officeof People with Disabilities, and the Mayors Office of Talent Acquisition.- Utilize social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn to promote job opportunities, sourcepotential candidates, respond to interested candidates' inquiries about working for DOHMH, etc. and tohelp promote the DOHMH employer brand.- Participate in panel interviews for priority positions; analyze candidate responses and partner with thehiring manager to determine the most qualified applicant to be considered.- Establishing employer brand recognition within the diverse NYC community across all five boroughs byactively participating in and hosting career fairs and recruitment events. Participating in DOHMHsponsored community health events in adherence to our mission of protecting and promoting the healthof all New Yorkers.- Review civil service title typical tasks and the vacancy responsibilities to ensure they are aligned witheach other to minimize out of title grievances. Requirements

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or 2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above. Experienced (non-manager)
