FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the G-8 DIVISION of US MARINE CORPS FORCES, CENTRAL CMD.


  • You will administer the command's Risk Management Internal Control (RMIC) and Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) programs to ensure compliance with federal law and DoD directives.
  • You will plan, write, and implement financial policies, procedures, and standards for assigned programs while proactively resolving potential systemic problems.
  • You will perform budget administration, formulate cost estimates, review budget requests, control expenditures, and recommend alternative funding methods.
  • You will analyze financial data to improve organizational efficiency and interpret the impact of budgetary changes on command programs.
  • You will train senior managers on RMIC and GPRA regulations and represent the command in high-level briefings with other federal agencies.
  • You will maintain key relationships with stakeholders, program managers, and OSD officials to facilitate issue resolution and meet command objectives.

Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyze data for various financial reports (e.g., budget formulation, budget execution, accounting, audit readiness); coordinate the analysis and review of instructions, policies, and procedures for financial management reporting and recording; identify, analyze, and resolve a range of budgetary problems to develop alternative methods of funding and the formulation of budget estimates for programs to achieve systems objectives; identify and evaluate financial systems design methodologies from industry and other government organizations; and brief a wide range of audiences regarding financial information, concepts and resolutions Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0500/financial-administration-and-program-series-0501/ Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
