Cancer Conference Coordinator

Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The cancer conference coordinator is responsible for coordinating and documenting cancer conferences and tumor board meetings at their assigned facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor cancer conference mailbox to collect requests to present at cancer conference
  • Coordinate with Radiology, Pathology, Physicians and outside facilities to insure all patient records needed for conference are available
  • Support and collaboration with physician moderators, physician presenters and physician office staff
  • Prepare cancer conference documentation (agenda, minutes and attendance log)
  • Coordinate all audio-visual needs for the cancer conference
  • Coordinate all catering needs for cancer conferences
  • Responsible for taking of minutes during conference
  • Prepares, completes, and maintains Commission on Cancer conference/tumor board documentation. (Minutes, Survey Application Records, cancer conference summaries, & tumor board grids)
  • Attend each cancer conference - either in-person or remotely

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (GED) – Required
  • Associate’s degree – Preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience – Required
  • Healthcare experience – Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel – Required
  • Organizational Skills – Required
  • Course work in and/or two years’ experience using medical terminology, Anatomy& Physiology, disease processes and treatment methods – Required
